Alice Elizabeth Dennis BEM GTCL LTCL (PftT) FISM (née Larner) is a popular piano and singing teacher and is the retiring Musical Director of the University Plymouth Choral Society.
She moved down from Aberdeenshire to Cornwall in 2017 (after working there since 1990) leaving her post as Musical Director of Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society and the two award winning young Haddo Voices choirs. She was also the founder and Artistic Director of the Haddo Arts Festival.
A fully qualified conservatoire trained pianist and singer, Alice now teaches a busy practice in Marazion near Penzance.
She has an unprecedented success rate with pupils of all ages in exams, auditions and performances but also teaches people who are learning for fun. She offers free consultations to anyone interested.
She has over 30 years experience of teaching aspiring musicians and has helped many gain access into conservatoires, colleges, universities and stage schools.
She is a member of the professional body the Incorporated Society of Musicians (Private Teachers Section), and The Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS), is fully DBS checked and was honoured with the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s 90th Birthday honours for Services to Music in Aberdeenshire.
