Alice Elizabeth Dennis BEM GTCL LTCL (PftT) (née Larner) based in Aberdeen, is a popular piano and singing teacher and has just retired as Musical Director of Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society and the young Haddo Voices choirs. She was also the founder and Artistic Director of the Haddo Arts Festival (until November 2016).
A fully qualified conservatoire trained pianist and singer, Alice teaches at her home just north of Aberdeen near Balmedie (just 6 minutes from the Bridge of Don) and has an unprecedented success rate with pupils of all ages in exams, auditions and performances.
She has over 30 years experience of teaching aspiring musicians and has helped many gain access into conservatoires, colleges, universities and stage schools.
She is an experienced choral conductor having taken rehearsals and conducted concerts and operas at Haddo House near Ellon, Aberdeenshire since the early 90s. All the non-auditoned choirs she led won competitions locally and nationally.
She is a member of the professional body the Incorporated Society of Musicians (Private Teachers Section) and was recently honoured with the British Empire Medal in the Queens 90th Birthday honours for Services to Music in Aberdeenshire.
